The Hannah Block Historic USO/Community Arts Center is a vibrant cultural hub located in the heart of Wilmington, North Carolina. This historic building, once a principal off-duty destination for armed forces personnel during World War II, now serves as a major cultural resource for New Hanover County. It is managed by the Thalian Association Community Theatre, a non-profit organization dedicated to arts education and community performances. The center features five studios, including dance studios, and is home to the Orange Street Potters and the Hannah Block Second Street Stage, an auditorium used for rehearsals and performances. What sets it apart is its rich history and its role as a mini museum of the Wilmington and New Hanover County WWII homefront, offering a unique blend of
