Surround yourself in serenity by visiting Airlie’s 2,700-square foot native butterfly house. Butterflies, all native to North Carolina, can be found flying inside this open-air structure. Exhibit is open seasonally and included in general garden admission.

Welcome to Carolina Beach Pier! A cherished landmark and a must-visit destination for people of all ages (and their furry friends!) seeking a unique beach experience. Our property is a fast-casual bar & grille perched majestically right on the ocean and boasts multiple indoor and outdoor venue areas, each exuding its own unique charm! *No Fishing* Since Hurricane Florence took the end of the pier in 2018, we’ve been operating as a bar & grille rather than a fishing pier.

Kayak Carolina specializes in kayak rentals and guided tours in the Wilmington, NC area. They offer rentals for various durations, from hourly to full-day, and delivery to several beaches including Kure, Carolina, and Wrightsville. Their tours range from exploring natural wonders like Masonboro Island to exciting adventures around Zeke's Island. They also provide kayak instruction for all experience levels.

Kayak Carolina also leads exciting tours to Shark Tooth Island, a popular destination located near the Cape Fear River. This unique island is a treasure trove for fossil hunters, known for its abundance of prehistoric shark teeth and other marine artifacts.
