Overview
LINC, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Wilmington, North Carolina, that provides services and support to individuals with criminal records, particularly those re-entering the community after incarceration.
Their mission is to break the cycle of recidivism by offering programs that promote successful reintegration, including:
- Housing assistance.
- Employment support.
- Education and life skills training.
- Mentoring and case management.
- Substance abuse support.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- New Workforce Center (non-residential - adult)
- Marvin E. Roberts Transitional Living Facility (residential – adult)
- LITE Manhood Program (youth – 16-21)
- Urban Farm
- Administrative/Clerical Support
- Soliciting Donations/Fundraising
LINC, Inc. programs benefit immensely from the input and efforts of volunteers from Wilmington and greater Cape Fear area. There are unlimited volunteer opportunities with LINC, Inc.’s youth program, adult re-entry program, within the M.E. Roberts Transitional Living Campus, and on the LINC Urban Farm.
