OVER 400 DOGS CONVERGE ON WILMINGTON TO COMPETE FOR BEST IN SHOW ON OCT 11-12, 2025

Wilmington, NC– Hanover Kennel Club is pleased to announce that it will hold its 128th & 129th annual AKC licensed all breed dog shows in Wilmington on Oct 11-12 at Legion Stadium on Carolina Beach Rd. Hundreds of dogs will compete for BEST IN SHOW on Sat and Sun.

“We are delighted to welcome spectators back to Hanover Kennel Club’s annual dog shows in Wilmington,” said Ann Roth, show chairman. Not only is this a fun activity for families but it is the perfect place to talk to breed experts about topics such as training, grooming and the right breed for your lifestyle. An AKC dog show is also a great place to start your search for a responsible breeder

Admission and parking is free to the public. Food trucks and vendors will be on site for fun shopping opportunities. 

Due to safety concerns, unentered dogs are not allowed on the show site, so please leave your pets at home and bring the family to enjoy and learn!

Hanover Kennel Club was founded in 1939, and has served the Wilmington area and surrounding counties continuously since that time with training and education, as well as support of the local Humane Society, Animal Services, Military Dogs, Police K-9’s and other dog related causes.
