Overview
Come join us for a fun afternoon of cleaning up this beautiful state park! The cleanup event will begin with a brief educational program, which will include the history of the Lily Pond and the park. This cleanup is a partnership among Carolina Beach State Park, Sierra Club Cape Fear, Life Point Church, and Friends of Pleasure Island State Parks.
From the visitor center, the Lily pond is about a 20-minute walk in. Volunteers are welcome to stay for any duration throughout the 3-hour event.
Since 2022, POP has helped remove 9,550 pounds of trash from CBSP. Earning 382 trees for Plastic Ocean Project's Trees4Trash initiative.
