Overview
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. Our local Cape Fear Surfrider chapter helps support their overall mission in our local coastline through monthly cleanups, annual dune restoration, bringing awareness to local and state campaigns that impact local beach access, climate protection, plastic/pollution reduction, and more. The Cape Fear chapter’s dedicated members also support initiatives that give local kids from marginalized communities access to swim lessons, kayaking/surfing excursions, marine biology education, and more!
