Pottery Wheel Date Night

Need a new, fun idea for your next date night? We've got you covered. This class is at our Cozy Bookwyrm location in the South Front District In this 90-minute workshop, you'll get the chance to try your hand at wheel-throwing. No clay experience necessary! Come and enjoy a creative, messy evening with your friends, siblings, parents, or significant other. If you’re over 21, feel free to BYOB! Included: personal instruction, 2 balls of clay, tools, firings, 1 Polaroid photo per couple Instructor: Alexis Mintz Who: Anyone aged 18 and older When: Friday, May 30 | 6pm-7:30pm Where: The Cozy Bookwyrm - 1540 S 2nd St, Unit 220, Wilmington, NC 28401 NOT THE CARGO DISTRICT LOCATION It is recommended you arrive early to secure parking. Cost: $135 per couple Additional Information: Your piece(s) will be glazed with ONE glaze that is intuitively selected by the staff of the studio. It’ll be a fun surprise! Your creations will be ready for pickup from The Cozy Bookwyrm studio approximately 4 weeks from the workshop date. Any pottery left at the studio 3 months after the workshop date will be donated, so please pick up your work in time! Not all pieces are guaranteed to make it out of the kiln if instructions are not followed. Inconsistencies in thickness can cause cracks or even shattering in the firing process. However, the goal is to just have fun and to learn more about the process, so don’t stress about it! Tickets cannot be refunded, prorated or exchanged for another workshop due to the special nature of our offerings and very limited enrollment.
