Carolina Beach State Park Cleanup

Carolina Beach State Park, Carolina / Kure Beach Wilmington

$ Free

Overview

Be a Part of Something Meaningful at Carolina Beach State Park! Join us for an unforgettable afternoon as we come together to protect and preserve one of North Carolina’s most beautiful natural treasures. This special cleanup event will kick off with a short but powerful educational program where you'll learn about the fascinating history of the Lily Pond and the rich ecology of Carolina Beach State Park. This isn’t just a cleanup—it’s a movement. In partnership with Carolina Beach State Park, Sierra Club Cape Fear, Life Point Church, Publix at Pine Valley, Three Pines Project, and Friends of Pleasure Island State Parks, we’re making a real impact—and we want YOU to be part of it. 🌿 Since 2022, Plastic Ocean Project has helped remove over 7,266 pounds of trash from CBSP, earning nearly 290 trees for our Trees4Trash™ initiative—an effort that turns environmental action into tangible reforestation. The Lily Pond trail is an easy and scenic 20-minute walk from the visitor center, and volunteers are welcome to stay for as much or as little of the 3-hour event as they'd like. Whether you're a seasoned steward of the environment or looking for a fun way to give back, your time will make a difference. Can’t attend? You can still be part of the change—consider making a donation to support the cause! 🌊 Come out, get inspired, and leave the world a little cleaner than you found it. We can’t wait to see you there!
