Overview

The Black Arts Alliance is proud to present the 22nd Annual North Carolina Black Film Festival, April 10-13 in Wilmington, NC. The four-day juried and invitational festival of independent motion pictures by African-American filmmakers, as well as films on subjects of black life, urban culture and African-American history, will showcase features, shorts and documentary films. Trophies will be awarded in each category.


Sponsors of this year’s North Carolina Black Film Festival include the Arts Council of Wilmington and New Hanover County, Chrystal Fray of State Farm Insurance, Lighthouse Films, Coast 97.3FM, Jengo’s Playhouse, and Cameron Art Museum.
