Courting in the Victorian Era

The Historic Latimer House downtown is putting on a special event this Valentine's Day. Have you ever wondered where our modern day Valentine's traditions come from? Or how people of the past fell in love and got married? From February 11-15th the Latimer House is putting on special house tours all about love. Historically dressed tour guides will take you through the 1852 home and reveal the secrets of past love affairs. There will also be an opportunity to play traditional match making games and make Victorian Valentine's Day cards for the special people in your life. Purchase of a ticket enters each guest into a raffle to win a free romantic dinner and dessert for two.
