Dub Coast

Who here likes Reggae music, Hi-Fi audio, and booming bass?? We can’t be the only ones…

We are proud to announce the first annual “Dub Coast” event, taking place in Wilmington, NC on January 11th, 2025 at The Eagle’s Dare from 9 PM to 2 AM

Dub Coast is a celebration of reggae music and the tangential styles birthed out of the artistry and experimentation of the genre’s pioneers. Join us for as we delve into the intersection of modern electronic music production and the classic roots of Jamaican sound system culture.

Providing sound for the night, we have the Hi-Vi Sound System crew out of Asheville bringing their full system. We’re super stoked to hear their sound system in town and it will sound outstanding in this room!

Headlining the night is Hi-Vi’s own, @tunictunes . Tunic is an incredibly versatile artist with a wide range of productions from laid back dub tracks to deep and filthy 140 heaters. He’s been one of my favorite finds of American artists in recent years, we’re very blessed to have him living in N.C. and for being able to have him join us for this event!

Out of Raleigh, we have @phist919 joining us a he dives into a more Dub oriented set than usual and brings out the deep cuts from his vault. Representing 5i Productions out of Myrtle Beach, @rhynogmusic will be displaying his tasteful selections and creative mixing skills. @jahva.wav will be closing the night with a full Psy-Dub set right in his wheelhouse. @breachdubs will be opening the night with an eclectic mix of Reggae, Dub, and Dubstep.

We have a bit more to share on this on this event and will be rolling out more updates leading up to the show. This show is a very special one for me, as this style of music has become very important in my own musical journey and I also think it’s very representative of Wilmington’s music scene. We’re super excited to bring an event of this sort to town and we look forward to seeing where it takes us!
