Fire in the Pines Festival

The festival is a family-friendly environmental education event focused on community – we have over 40+ organizations come table, live music from Folkstone String Band, educational engagement, food trucks, a beer truck, hayrides, face-painting, hands-on activities, and a demonstration controlled burn! There really is so much to enjoy there.

We want to educate the public on this and show them that controlled fire is a good, not scary, thing! The festival is completely free to the public – we want to be able to deliver this important education to everyone regardless of socioeconomic circumstances, background, gender, or race. We believe feeling connected to the native landscape with understand is vital to fostering stewardship from young children and support from the general public.
