Chopped by the Coast Fundraiser

The Northside Food Co-op is hosting "Chopped by the Coast," a live cooking competition fundraiser, on October 13, 2024, at The Annex at The Harrelson Center. This event aims to raise $30,000 to support the establishment of a community-owned grocery store in Wilmington's Northside neighborhood. During the competition, four local chefs will create a two-course meal using mystery ingredients, similar to the popular Food Network show *Chopped*. Each chef will have access to a pantry and must incorporate specific mystery ingredients into their dishes, while judges can bring a signature ingredient to the competition. The Northside Food Co-op's mission focuses on addressing food security and promoting healthy eating within the community. This event is part of a broader effort to engage the community and build relationships while raising funds for the co-op, which is set to open in 2026
