Pottery Olympics Fundraiser

One of our dearest members was recently diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer, and is currently undergoing cancer treatment. We want to do all we can to help her through one of the hardest fights of her life, and we're inviting you to help.

During this pottery event, you'll get to participate in various pottery challenges as part of a lighthearted "Olympics tournament" to raise money for Marina Almeida. Anyone is welcome to enter! (See age requirements below.) We just ask that a donation be made to Marina's GoFundMe (a minimum donation of $25 is required to enter the games, with a maximum donation of whatever you feel led to give). All donations will go directly toward medical expenses, treatment-related costs, and everyday living expenses.

While you won't get to keep the challenge pots, you'll get all the fun memories and the heartwarming feeling of helping someone in need! The winner will also get a sweet lil prize: a $100 Bookworm Pottery workshop gift card and a handmade mug! Pottery challenges include:

• Throwing Blindfolded

• One-Handed Throwing

• Tallest Pot

• Partner Tandem Throwing

• No Hands Throwing

• Speed Sculpting

While clay experience will improve your chances of success, it is not necessarily required to participate (however, no instruction will be provided). This event has been organized by and will be led by one of our members, Anna Dickson. She is such a sweet bean!
