Azalea Festival Parade

General Parade Information

Viewing:

Main viewing areas will be all along 3rd Street, from Market Street to Bladen Street. Viewing along the route is always free, though reserved Festival bleacher tickets are available for purchase at the North Carolina Azalea Festival Ticket Office for $8 in advance, $10 on the day of.

Parking:

Parking is available in all public parking decks downtown; access to the 2nd Street parking decks is via Princess Street only, and only until 8:45 am. Once in the parking deck, cars will not be permitted to leave until after the Parade is over. ADA parking is on the corner of Chestnut and 3rd Street, and is accessible via Chestnut Street until 8:45 am.

Shuttle:

Staging/Start Location: Independence Mall near Dillard’s

Drop-off/Parade Location: 4th St. between Princess and Market St.

Time: 7:00am – 2:00pm with the last shuttle leaving from downtown at 1:45pm

Tickets: Must be purchased with cash at the shuttle pick-up site prior to boarding

$2 one-way or $4 roundtrip for regular tickets

$1 one way or $2 roundtrip for ‘reduced’ tickets

Reduced tickets available for adults 65 and older and children ages 5-17

Children under 5 ride free

UNCW students ride free
