Local Expert Series presents: "Crafting the Short Story: Characters, Plot, and Place" led by Gabi Stephens

Gabi Stephens will be leading three writing classes, which cover character, plot, and place respectively. Designed to be taken as a series or enjoyed à la carte. Before each session, we'll read a short story and an accompanying craft piece. These texts will examine how characters’ desires, the shape of the plot, and setting add to and define a narrative. At the end of each session, we'll complete a prompt—so please bring something to write with! I encourage everyone to write by hand, but you’re welcome to bring (fully charged) tech if that’s how you work best. If time allows, we’ll share our writing and discuss.
