Pottery at the Beach: Sculpting Sharks!

Overview
Enjoy a relaxing, creative session where you'll learn how to sculpt whale sharks from a ball of stoneware clay while listening to the calming sounds of the ocean. We'll search for shells together to create texture, incorporate saltwater into the clay, and make some new friends under the sun.
Led by staff member Gabby from The Cozy Bookwyrm, you'll receive patient, step-by-step instructions on how to make your own little aquatic buddy using various hand-building techniques. No clay experience necessary! (And if you wish to sculpt something different than the theme, you are welcome to! The sharks will be about hand-sized.)

- Where: Johnnie Mercers Pier - 23 E Salisbury St, Wrightsville Beach, NC 28480 **IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER: if the weather is poor day-of, the class will be moved to DesignWorx at 707 S 16th St, Wilmington, NC 28401. Participants will receive an email if the location needs to change.**
