Step into a world of magic, adventure, where wishes come true as Wilmington Performing Arts (WPA) proudly presents Disney’s Aladdin JR., running June 19–28, 2026, at the Minnie Evans Performing Arts Center.
Based on the beloved Disney animated film and the Broadway adaptation, Aladdin JR. follows the adventures of Aladdin, Jasmine, and the unforgettable Genie as they journey through mystical caves, soar on a magic carpet, and outsmart the villainous Jafar. This high-energy, family-friendly musical features favorite songs by Alan Menken, including “Friend Like Me,” “A Whole New World,” and “Prince Ali,” along with additional music created for the Broadway production. With new, colorful characters and nonstop adventure, Aladdin JR. is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages!
Performed by a cast of 54 talented local youth, the production showcases weeks of dedicated work in acting, singing, choreography, and stagecraft. Audiences can expect colorful costumes, lively dance numbers, and a heartwarming story filled with humor, friendship, and self-discovery.
