Artist Closing Reception: Printed Belle

Anabelle Puttbach is a printmaker from Wilmington, NC who does primarily relief and screen printing. She enjoys doing large scale woodcuts, usually printed by steamroller at collaborative community events. Printmaking is her love because of the collaborative nature of a print studio, being able to connect with other artists throughout the process of creating. Her subjects tend to be mystical and whimsical, usually creatures that almost exist, with a clear inspiration taken from the American Traditional bold tattoo style. Inspiration for her work comes heavily from her vivid dreams, occurring nightly, which often center around animals and don’t quite make sense.
