Zapchen at Station No. 2

Station No. 2, Downtown Wilmington

$ 20.00

Wednesdays
6:00 PM

Overview

Zapchen is a practice of simple exercises for development and change — personally and within family, clients, and community. Developed by Julie Henderson PhD, it sits at the intersection of modern somatic therapy and Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism. Each week we sit in circle and practice 2–3 exercises for wellbeing. The exercises are playful, never forced, and quite profound — things like horse lips, sighing, hanging down, and talking funny. Explore, laugh, play, nap, and enjoy regulating your nervous system in good company. Zapchen gives real and immediate access to the possibility of wellbeing, supporting gentle, radical change in the face of worry, pain, and the common challenges of the human condition. Reading from Julie Henderson's Embodying Wellbeing, we learn together to generate and contain creativity and potency in life. Beginners warmly welcome. Come as you are.
