Overview
In this beginner-friendly upcycling workshop, you’ll transform a towel into your very own pair of custom towel shorts!
We’ll begin with a brief overview of sewing and machine basics, do some sample stitches to build confidence at the machine. From there, you’ll learn how to work with elastic waistbands and explore foundational upcycling techniques as we guide you step-by-step through constructing your shorts.
This class is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to get creative while giving new life to something they already own.
What to bring:
One to two full-size towel (beach towel recommended). Larger towels will give you more flexibility with fit and length! Think, the bigger the better. (I recomend bringing a beach towel on the thinner side, it can be trickier to work with super thick towels!)
All other materials and guidance will be provided — just bring your towel and we’ll guide you through the shorts making process!
