QueerFlow Battleship Yoga

um, why shouldn’t we be gay on the battleship?

my first dream of QueerFlow was to have a room full of queer people, moving their bodies with ecstatic pride. i certainly didn’t anticipate that room would be a battleship. but @thewildteagnome believed in me without even knowing this dream existed.

registration is open for all, but just know we are going to be celebrating in true QueerFlow fashion. please bring all your pride colors. LGBTQ+ community gets 50% off and all proceeds benefit @yogavillagers to provide equitable access to the practice of yoga.

Zachary Ryan - Reckoning with his own religious trauma while searching for queer safety + belonging, his path of yoga, “yokes or unites” him to a collective liberation for all humans. While the mystery of life beyond this breath hangs in the air, he believes in a supported space where queer people can come home to their body through movement, breath, and mindfulness.

During his study of yoga, he found inspiration in a Vedic Literature story of the World Turtle–Akupara. This sanskrit name for the world turtle translates to as free + unbounded as the ocean. Zachary is committed to creating space for queer decolonization, liberation, + belonging through an accessible practice of grounding pranayama, warm asana, + embodied mindfulness.
