Vegetable Gardening with a Master Gardener (Garden Tour/Class)

Join a Master Gardener in learning about vegetable gardening in Pinellas County. You will receive information on vegetable bed preparation, seasonal crop selection, natural pest control, composting, and proper fertilization techniques. You will then tour the Ochs 4-H center/community garden and see raised and in-ground vegetable beds. You will also have the opportunity to see and discuss herbs and a small assortment of tropical fruit trees. You will be outside: dress accordingly, wear comfortable close-toed shoes, bring water, sunscreen or sun protection. Florida weather can be unpredictable.
