Flatland Cavalry is an Americana and Country band originating from Lubbock, TX. Formed in 2012 by childhood friends Cleto Cordero (vocalist) and Jason Albers (drummer) in Midland, TX, the band expanded when they moved to Lubbock for college, adding Jonathan Saenz (bassist), Reid Dillon (guitarist), Wesley Hall (fiddle), and Adam Gallegos (utility player). Their debut EP, Come May, launched in May 2015 after a successful crowdfunding campaign, and their first full-length album, Humble Folks, was released in 2016, receiving positive reviews and charting on Billboard. Known for their energetic live performances and the release of several albums, including Homeland Insecurity in 2019 and their fourth full-length album in fall 2023, Flatland Cavalry has made a significant impact on the music scene
